
British company Engineered Arts has created a humanoid robot, Ameca, which has realistic facial expressions and a way of moving. It is the world’s most advanced humanoid robot. In one of the videos promoting the robot, Ameca, after looking at himself in the mirror, was surprised – it’s not awareness yet, but it shows how close we are to achieving such AI. Clearview AI is an artificial intelligence technology that Ukraine began using during the war with Russia, it is supposed to help recognize dead people. Scientists have discovered a simple way to detect deepfakes – especially for video calls – you should ask the suspect to turn sideways. When the image is seen straight ahead – the deepfake is virtually indistinguishable from the real image, but when the face is turned 90 degrees, the image becomes distorted. The artist Jason Allen submitted AI-generated artwork to the Colorado State Fair art competition and won first place in the Digital Arts category. The judges did not know that the author was an AI. The robot at a Moscow chess tournament broke a child’s finger after he made a move prematurely. The robot, uses artificial intelligence to play three games of chess simultaneously. The machine has already been in use for 15 years and this is the first time such an incident has occurred.
